This new film isn't perfect, and may not be a world-changer, but it's certainly a world-pleaser.. Spielberg and Abrams are the unwitting targets of their own irony.. Though it's never transformational, it's mostly amusing. Which counts!. The "action" scenes come across as brief, noisy periods of rest from the lame comedy, which counts for something, if not quite what the filmmakers intended..
